The Nearness of You. Sixteen full-sized scans. It is possibly the best comic-format story ever written. Poignant and bittersweet. You don't need to know anything about Astro City or superhero comics in general; you don't even have to have any interest in them. Love and loss. I feel certain enough to say that anyone who reads it through and is not moved lacks a soul.
