Seriously, even though I don't have much dislike for Stackpole, Allston is just a vastly better writer. The pace seems faster, more things are shown rather than told, there are no damn redshirts, and everyone is interesting!
Allston!Wedge Antilles is more irritable than Stackpole!Wedge. It's interesting.
